First Lady Carroll Bonner is a minister, designer in multiple facets, artist, curriculum writer and passionate visionary. Her work across disciplines broadly addresses narratives to women of all ages. As a designer she has fashioned hair and clothing accessories to accent the bold and the beautiful. As a curriculum writer, Carroll has counseled young girls through her Girls with Pearls mentoring program throughout the south. She founded the Sending for the Women organization to provide open doors to the broken, and the lost. In her other life, Carroll was a military soldier, licensed cosmetologist, instructor, program director and a historic figure. She lives in Alabama with her family.
